Modern Age is an aging wellness destination, founded with the mission to holistically bolster each client’s subjective age through targeted treatments and products. The flagship studio, inspired by the human body, gives acute attention to the visitor journey through spatial, tonal, and surface cues. Sculptural window displays provide a cheery first impression. Once inside, color and form provide competing cues, balancing lux spa with clinical office. A custom biomorphic curved reception desk, with a floating stainless steel base, an earthy lime washed plinth, and an aggregate countertop sets the tone, aptly balancing luxury recreation and medical precision. Progressing from reception to treatment rooms, visitors move from the earthen lime to highly polished tile. Arched doorways; organic, rounded faux skylights; natural stone; and ornamental light fixtures are reminders to relax and enjoy. While the reductive color and secondary material palettes—centered on blue, chartreuse, and peach and stainless steel, smooth vinyl, and high-polish gloss—lend clinical credo to the medical professionals charged with diagnosis and treatment.
